Choosing Joy, Faith, and Resilience, No Matter What Life Sends Your Way

Introducing
BE Positive!

Choosing Joy, Faith, and Resilience, No Matter What Life Sends Your Way

Veronica Nash didn't sit down to write a memoir. She sat down to write her life, because somewhere between hospital waiting rooms, hair salon chairs, and Sunday sermons that hit different when you needed them to, she realized she'd already lived a book's worth of material. She just hadn't put it on paper yet.
BE POSITIVE! is not a tidy inspirational calendar quote. It's fifteen chapters of a woman who has been knocked down by her own body, her own marriage, and her own mind, and who got back up laughing every single time, with her hand stretched out to help you up too. Every chapter closes with a "Closing Thought," because Veronica doesn't let you close a chapter, literally or otherwise, without sitting with it for one more minute.

Meet Veronica

From Licensed Counselor to Viral "Shark Lady": Meet the Woman Behind the Message

Veronica Nash, known to her millions of followers simply as Pooh, is a counselor, speaker, author, and the voice behind the viral shark video that turned her into the internet's favorite purveyor of common sense. Before any of that, she spent sixteen years as a licensed school counselor in North Georgia and Tennessee, sitting across from kids and families and doing the quiet, unglamorous work of helping people get back up. Then, one ordinary morning, she picked up her phone, opened Facebook Live, and said something true about sharks, and the internet stopped scrolling. What followed was a television deal with TLC (She's in Charge), a Facebook community called the Meat Ministry that has grown to more than 9,100 members, and a platform she never planned for but has never taken lightly.

Along the way, Veronica was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at twenty-five. She raised and continues to raise a son on the autism spectrum, learning as much from him as she has taught. She became a breast cancer survivor and double mastectomy patient (she named her implants Blanche and Betty, because, of course, she did). And she lost 165 pounds, documenting the entire journey publicly, not for applause, but because she believes someone out there needed to see it was possible.

With warmth, humor, and an unflinching willingness to tell the truth about her own life, Veronica has built a community of people who believe positivity is not naïve, not performed, and not optional. It's a practice. A daily choice. A muscle you build by using it, especially when it's hard. .

She lives in the South with her son, Alden, who continues to be the best thing she has ever done.

Why Readers Can't Put It Down

What Makes BE POSITIVE! Different

No Filters, No Performance

Veronica doesn't hand you a polished highlight reel. She hands you the hospital waiting rooms, the silent car ride home after a diagnosis, and the nights she cried behind a closed bedroom door. This is real life, told by someone who has actually lived it, not observed it from a distance.

Scripture That Meets You Where You Are

Every chapter is anchored in Scripture that Veronica has personally leaned on, from Proverbs 23:7 to Romans 8:28, not as decoration, but as the actual handrail she's used to get through the hardest seasons of her life.

Laughter as Medicine, Not a Coping Mechanism

This is a woman who tattooed a shark on her body and named her breast implants after The Golden Girls. Her humor isn't a defense mechanism, it's a deliberate choice, and it makes even the heaviest chapters feel like a conversation with your funniest, most honest friend.

A "Closing Thought" at the End of Every Chapter

This isn't a book you skim and forget. Every chapter ends with a Closing Thought designed to make you sit with it for one more minute, turning Veronica's story into a practice you can actually apply to your own.

"B-Positive is not just a blood type. It is a life type. And it is available to every single one of us."

What's Inside

A Book About What You Do With Your Hands, Your Faith, and Your Sense of Humor While the Hard Thing Is Happening

A Book About What You Do With Your Hands, Your Faith, and Your Sense of Humor While the Hard Thing Is Happening

BE POSITIVE! is built around a simple, life-changing truth Veronica has carried since the day a nurse wrote two words on her hospital chart: B-Positive. It turned out to be the most accurate description anyone ever gave her not just her blood type, but her whole approach to living.

This isn't a book about avoiding hard things. Hard things are coming for all of us, regardless of how positive our attitude is. Instead, BE POSITIVE! walks readers through the real, unpolished terrain of Veronica's life a childhood spent being picked last at recess, a marriage that taught her what she'd never accept again, a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis at twenty-five, raising a son on the autism spectrum, a breast cancer scare and double mastectomy, and the 165-pound weight loss journey she documented publicly because she believes what you survive belongs not just to you, but to everyone who needs to know it's survivable.

"Positivity is not a feeling. It is a decision. It lives in your mind, not in your circumstances." Veronica Nash, BE POSITIVE!
